Because of Love, I Am Loved

Because of Love, I Am Loved

                                      Psalm 37:4

"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

   All My Desire
The desire, “Come taste the Lord with me,”
 Has been My constant prayer,
Needing the Lord to answer me

 And knowing that He’s there.

He showed me you are my hearts desire
And I know God has given me, you.
It is with this desire, I long to serve Him
In all that I say and do.

Sharing my life with God’s man–
How wonderful that will be,
Giving myself to only him and him, to only me.

“Come taste the Lord with me,”
A longing only He can fulfill.
What joy to know the love we share
Is truly in God’s will.

Because of Love, I Am Loved

My husband was the pastor of our church for eighteen delightful years. What a marvelous life we shared together while serving the Lord. On June 12, 2002, after twenty-five years of marriage, he went home to be with the Lord. I never thought I could or would love again. Then God, in His infinite wisdom, brought a loving, godly man into my life. In the autumn years of our lives, we began afresh and joined our hearts together as husband and wife. Not only has it been a privilege to serve Christ with the husband of my youth, but in the mature years of my life, He has honored me once more.

To delight oneself in the Lord is to take pleasure in the things of God. Because He loved me, I am loved by God’s incredible man. Because He loves me, I possess the riches of His glory and am entitled to the greatest inheritance of all time, Heaven’s eternal home. What greater love is there, than when a Man lays down His life for the ones He loves (John 15:13)? There is none! To be loved by man is a tremendous pleasure and for most in this world none would want to avoid. But, to be loved by God goes beyond any human comparison we could with words afford to provide. Far more reaching than the human tongue could describe there appears the immense depth of  love shown in the exchange of His life for those He loved so deeply.
